FinCrime Quality Specialist
We’re looking for a Financial Crime Quality Control Specialist (focused on reviewing suspicious activity reports) to join our team in Hyderabad, India. This is an exciting opportunity to be one of the very first founding members of the quality control reporting team in Hyderabad, helping to build our presence and protect millions of customers around the world. At Wise, you’ll work closely with global teams across Europe, the Americas, and Asia. As a founding team member in India, you’ll set the standard on high quality reports for agents and products while identifying improvements for manual and automated processes. Your mission: Help implement and enforce our quality management strategy and framework ensuring that our teams report suspicious activity accurately and in line with global standards. Along the way, you’ll build deep knowledge in financial crime investigations, typologies, and suspicious activity reporting — all while contributing to a fast-growing global fintech that’s making money movement fairer and safer for everyone. responsibilities
- Review and Analyse: Conduct regular quality checks on agents and products. Issue quality assessments with constructive feedback to help improve procedural adherence, quality performance, and identify root causes.
- Feedback and Liaison: Draft and submit reviews based on specific criteria, ensuring that all necessary details are accurately documented and captured. Submit the reports via the relevant platform for improvement opportunities, data and performance tracking.
- Collaborate: Work closely with operational teams, compliance, and other departments to ensure that suspicious activity reports are accurately submitted, documented and escalated.
- Adhere to Regulatory Guidelines: Stay up-to-date on financial crime regulations, regional best practices, and connected reporting requirements. Have a good understanding of different customer types, country risks, and typologies across multiple regions.
- Maintain Confidentiality: Safeguard sensitive information, ensuring all reports and documentation are handled with the highest level of confidentiality and integrity.
- Continuous Learning: Participate in training and up skilling sessions to remain knowledgeable about emerging trends and tools in financial crime detection. Actively participate in case handling and operational activities according to the effective expectations to maintain up-to-date product and process knowledge.
